Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is used in histolopathology to detect the presence of a specific protein marker that can assist with accurate tumor classification and diagnosis.  It is used as a diagnostic tool to assist in the diagnosis of tumors and has been used as a mainstream diagnostic tool for almost half a century. Material used for the test: Patients tissue biopsy or surgical specimen
