Workstation- Precision 7820 Tower XCTO Base

Precision 7820 Tower XCTO Base is a medium-range workstation with 36 core Intel Xeon Gold 6140 processors designed to handle data-intensive workloads. The workstation together with 128 GB memory (RAM) and 16 TB storage capacity can handle the vast amount of data that needs to be processed and analyzed in this era of big data and to carry out the simulations. The facility is currently being utilized in analyzing a large amount of astronomical data coming from the various ground and space-based observatories such as AstroSat, Fermi gamma-ray space telescope, Swift, Himalayan Chandra Telescope.
