Abstract

An Audi-shaped slotted triple band antenna for wireless application is presented. The antenna has a very compact dimension of only 0.15 λ l × 0.26 λ l × 0.02 λ l (12 × 20 × 1.6mm 3), at a lower frequency of 3.9 GHz. The antenna shows the resonant behavior at 3.9, 5 and 7.1 GHz with fractional bandwidths of about 4.87% (3.8-3.99 GHz), 4.63% (4.85-5.08 GHz) and 6.88% (6.87-7.36 GHz). Stable radiation pattern, acceptable gain and good impedance matching are observed across the targeted frequencies. The desired antenna can be used for WiMAX (3.9 GHz), WLAN (5 GHz) and X-band (7.1 GHz) applications.
