N2 - A planar low profile rectangular patch antenna having a dimension of (0.34λ0×0.34λ0× 0.01λ0) and operating at eight different resonant frequency is presented. The antenna constitute of rectangular patch as the radiator with full ground plane. It has a resonant frequency of 2.6 (lower WiMAX), 3.75 (middle WiMAX), 4.7 (C-band), 5.1 (WLAN), 6.6, 7.8 (satellite TV), 8.05 and 8.95 GHz (X -band), with S11<-10 dB bandwidth of 3.8% (2.86 -2.66 GHz), 1.61 % (3.70 -3.75 GHz), 2.13% (4.63 -4.73GHz), 3.7% (5.0 -5.19 GHz), 1.51% (6.55 -6.65 GHz), 9.2% (7.2 -7.9 GHz), 2.7% (7.9 -8.12 GHz), 10.4% (8.2 -9.1GHz). The positioning of the rectangular radiator plays a very important role in achieving the octa-band operations. Obtained radiation characteristics make the antenna a popular candidate for the aforementioned applications.
