Abstract

Administration of phenobarbitone 50 mg/Kg of body weight intraperitoneally for 14 days led to intense alkaline phosphatase activity (histochemically) in the caput epididymis along with significant increase (p < 0.01) in the alkaline phosphatase activity (biochemically) in the proximal half of the epididymis in the experimental group of animals. The changes in the alkaline phosphatase activity of epididymis have been brought about by testosterone.
