HPTLC method for the estimation of fexofenadine HCL in tablet dosage form

Abstract

The paper describes HPTLC method for the estimation of fexofenadine HCl from tablet dosage form that employs a precoated silica gel G60 F254 on aliminium sheet and a mobile phase comprising of dichloromethane; methanol (65;35%v/v) and subsequently scanned and quantified at 260 nm, the linear detector response was observed between 0.2 μg to 1.0 μg. The method so developed was validated to determine its accuracy and precision. The limit of detection and limit of quantitation was found to be 0.08ng/μl & 0.2 g/μl. The recovery was carried out by standard addition method and was found to be 100.82%.
