Abstract

Power assisted stretcher with improvised control system for maneuverability. All power stretchers (for movement) use a complicated system both electrically and mechanically for the locomotion with minimal requirement of manpower for the same. The major improvisation in the design is that of the handles of the stretcher, with a unique interface for sensing the different components and intensity of the forces applied by the operators hand on the handles, thus reducing complexities and cost involved in operator training, a big disadvantage in the current variants of powered stretchers available to hospitals.
