Abstract

The Doubly Fed Induction Generator is the dominant wind turbine used under variable wind speed classification for wind power generation. The proper modeling of DFIG should be ensured for stability analysis. This paper deals with modeling of induction generator used for controlling the active and reactive power in the network. The design and simulation of double fed induction generator is carried out in matlab simulink. A 2MW DFIG is considered for the case study.
