Abstract

A simple modification in the normalization of the moments of the projections is shown to result in moment patterns that are invariant to geometric transformations as well as intensity scaling. The modification provides robustness to the MPs against fluctuations in the brightness of the 2-D object or in the intensity of the associated projections.
