N2 - Cellular networks have now become a very important aspect of a humans day to day life. We cannot survive without cellular phones today, literally. Various advancements have been made in the generational technologies that have been used in terms of scientific and architectural progress. Currently, the 4th generation of mobile networks is being used worldwide. But as the number of users is increasing and available spectrum decreases, we are having to use the unallocated spectrum bands also called mm-wave bands. And this is the forerunner to the 5th generation of mobile technology. In that, the kind of beamforming algorithms that are being used are the pillars of how efficient the network is. This paper has been an attempt to compare the various beamforming algorithms and conclude which is better.
