Plasmonic Lens Based on Elliptically Tapered Metallic Nano Slits

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Plasmonic lens using elliptically tapered nanoslits in a gold film to focus light is proposed. Two lenses with designed focal lengths of 2μm and 4μm respectively at 650nm were studied. Simulation results show that the intensity at the focal point of the proposed lens is enhanced as compared to a conventional plasmonic planar lens.
