Abstract

Observations were recorded on 120 club-feet while under personal treatment. More than 5 of 6 manipulations resulted in loss of suppleness of the foot. Early surgical release of posterior and medial structures with minimum of 4 months plaster immobilisation followed by surgical shoes gave better results. Forefoot adduction corrected itself if the feet were held in corrective shoes after surgery. Tibial torsion corrected itself after correction of the hindfoot deformities in children below 5 years.
