Abstract

Sudden deaths due to cardiac pathology are commonly reported but quite rarely we come across sudden collapse due to non- cardiac causes. Sudden deaths are always complex and require through autopsy and investigation. A case was encountered wherein an apparently healthy young male collapsed on road side and was declared brought dead to hospital. Autopsy confirmed it to be a case of haemorrhage due to splenic rupture.
