Abstract

The compound 2-(4-bromophenyl)-3-(4-methylphenyl)-1,3-thiazolidin-4-one was synthesized. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with space group Pbca and the cell parameters are a = 12.364(1)Å, b = 13.179(3)Å, c = 18.653(4)Å, Z = 8, V = 3039(1)Å3. The final residual factor is R1 = 0.066. The compound exhibits an intermolecular hydrogen bond of type C-H···Br. 2005
