Temozolomide and its stability—a critical factor

Abstract

Temozolomide is an alkylating agent, used in the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme. The characterization of the pure drug and its expired batch was carried out to evaluate the changes occurred due to degradation of the drug. FT-IR spectrocscopy, DSC analysis and drug content estimation were carried out. The observations indicated the changes in the drug peak and content after expiry period.
